If you’re visiting Mykonos this summer, your vacation will be excellent – this is one of the best Greek islands out there, and tourists from all over the world love it. Still, it wouldn’t hurt to see more of Greece – why not organize Mykonos island hopping tours and explore the nearby Cycladic islands? This part of the Aegean is wonderful, and we can guarantee you will see some fantastic beaches, sunsets, and views, all while having a fantastic time.

The Best Destinations for Island Hopping From Mykonos

Mykonos is surrounded by numerous islands, and even though it holds the crown among the Greek tourist destinations, we can assure you that other islands are worth a visit as well. The beautiful nature and marvelous beaches can be found in many places in Greece, and a few of them have established themselves as convenient places for traveling from Mykonos.

Taking a Private Yacht From Mykonos to Santorini, Paros, Naxos, and Other Cycladic Islands

Cycladic islands such as Naxos, Paros, and Tinos are the closest popular tourist destinations that you can take a ferry to. Naturally, there is always Santorini, one of the most fabulous places in Greece. It might take a while to get there, but it’s well worth the time. Before you purchase your ferry tickets, let us make a suggestion – why not get yourself a yacht rental and cruise the Aegean Sea in style?

1-Day Mykonos Island Hopping Tours – Travel Itinerary for Two Closest Islands You Must Check Out When in Mykonos

Before talking about the fabulous destinations you will see this summer, let’s mention a fantastic place that you shouldn’t miss while staying in Mykonos. We’re talking about the tiny isle of Delos, of course. Delos is a historical site protected by UNESCO – it’s known as one of the most important archeological findings in Greece – and that says a lot.

You can’t spend the night here, as there isn’t any accommodation (the place is uninhabited), but you can take a tour from Mykonos town in the morning and be back to Mykonos in the afternoon.

Most Tourists Visit Delos But Overlook the Fabulous Island of Rhenia – Don’t Make That Mistake

The day in Delos will be lovely, especially if you add a short visit to the nearby Rhenia as well. Rhenia is a less-known uninhabited isle west of Delos, and it has plenty of uncovered natural beauties, including marvelous beaches that resemble those in Mykonos.

Mykonos to Santorini – The Most Popular Tour

The distance between Mykonos and Santorini is 147 km (91 miles), which means you can get there by ferry in about 3 hours. Although you can make this a one-day trip, we advise against it.

If you want to experience the beauties of this volcanic island, spend at least 2 nights here. In case you have just one day, a helicopter ride might be the best travel solution. Enjoy your stay on lovely beaches – Perissa, Kamari, Red Beach, and Perivolos are among the most popular.

Mykonos to Naxos, Koufonisia, and Amorgos

A ferry trip to Naxos lasts from 35 minutes to 1h 45m, depending on the type of ferry. That makes this a perfect place for a one-day trip. Naxos resembles Mykonos in terms of beaches – they are all beautiful and sandy, and some of them are excellent for water sports.

Koufonisia is south of Naxos, and it’s a remote, alternative destination – it has only one little village where all the activities are centered. This is heaven for those who enjoy walking and remote beaches with few tourists. Amorgos is similar and provides a great setting for a quiet vacation – expect to see lovely beaches and landscapes. Don’t miss out on visiting the Monastery of Hozoviotissa while you’re here.

Mykonos to Paros

If you take a high-speed ferry, you can get from Mykonos to Paros in just 45 minutes. The main town of Paros is Parikia, and it’s a lovely little place that resembles Mykonos town so much – we’re sure you will love the architecture and picturesque houses and streets here. There is a great nightlife scene here as well – it’s not Mykonos nightlife, but it’s still pretty good.

You can take a bus from Parikia to famous beaches all around the island – be sure not to miss out on seeing at least one of the following –  Golden Beach, Santa Maria, Kolymbithres, Chrissi Akti, Monastiri, Piperi, and Aliki.
